Release – Freeman EM Scholarship – 05.01.2022

On behalf of Dr. Donald Freeman and Georgia Emergency Department Services, we would like to congratulate Mr. James Brown, as the first recipient of the Donald Freeman Emergency Medicine Scholarship.  

GEDS received 36 applicants in all.  All entries were reviewed anonymously by a diverse selection committee of physicians and APPs. The recipient was selected based on their expressed interest in emergency medicine, and their commitment to increasing diversity in emergency medicine.

We’d like to thank all the applicants who expressed their interest in this scholarship. The selection committee was impressed with the number and quality of all the applicants.
