About Me:
Dr. Morrison grew up on the west coast of central Florida in Bradenton. He attended the University of Florida from 1987-1991 and earned an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. He attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine from 1991-1995 and earned his MD. Then he did his specialty training in Emergency Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine from 1995-1998. He stayed on as an Assistant Professor for the next 3 years. Thereafterwards he has worked at several local hospitals with the ApolloMD, EmCare, and Paragon groups. He has worked at Kennestone, Cobb, Paulding, Douglasville, North Fulton, Northside, Northside-Forsyth, Eastside, Grady, Emory and Emory-Midtown. He has done locoms work in Savannah and in Maine.
Dr. Morrison has been with GEDS since 2012 and has seen great expansion. He now serves as the Medical Director at the NGMC Braselton campus.
His wife is an immigrant from India, via Toronto, Canada and subsequently Americus, Georgia. They met during his residency. She was an aspiring clothing desinger and now owns The Law bridal gown design company. She sells wholesale gowns to boutiques around the world. Dr. Morrison and their children accompany his wife to the bridal market in New York once a year to "help" with her shows at the NY Bridal Market.
They love to travel as a family and take at least 2 long distance trips a year. They enjoy skiing and hiking as well. Dr. Morrison is a poor golfer and an average tennis player, but doesn't get to do either as much as he would like. They love going to the ATL UTD games and are big local ATL sports fans.
