Dr. Mathew earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Rice University and attended Baylor College of Medicine for her medical degree. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago and later pursued a research fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, where she also obtained a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Behavioral Science and Health Education. Following her fellowship, she served on the faculty at Emory University for three years and later practiced at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Mathew joined Northeast Georgia Medical Center in 2020 and is one of the Associate Program Directors for its Emergency Medicine Residency. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling locally and internationally, and spending time with her husband and three young daughters.
