Dr. Arusuraire was born in NYC, raised in Nigeria and Maryland. She attended the the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). After that, she took a year off and worked as a medical transcriptionist at John’s Hopkins University then as a scribe in the emergency department where she knew Emergency Medicine was for het. Her adventures took her to the beautiful island of Grenada where she went to medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada and met her husband. She completed my EM residency at Rutgers Newark Beth Israel in New Jersey. After residency she joined Wake emergency Physicians (WEPPA) in Raleigh, NC for almost 3 years in the UNC Health system where she also served as the stroke director at UNC Nash.  She enjoys teaching, mentorship, bedside US, and stroke emergencies. She is excited to be joining the GEDS family!  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, who is a hospitalist physician and their two energetic, wonderful, toddler boys.  They love to travel, explore new parks/playgrounds, try new restaurants, make new connections and spend time with family and friends! They are looking forward to doing all of these in Georgia.
