Prior to moving to GA in 2019 for my residency training, I spent my entire life in West Virginia and will always consider that my home. I attended West Virginia University for undergrad, where I earned degrees in Exercise Physiology and Sport/Exercise Psychology, while also playing on the women’s club soccer team. I then enjoyed a relaxing gap year of coaching soccer and falling in love with Emergency Medicine as a scribe before attending the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. I left WV for EM residency, expecting to gain “big city” experience at Wellstar Kennestone in Marietta, GA before returning home to my rural roots in West Virginia, but fate had other plans. Soon after moving to GA I met my wife Stephanie, and the rest is history. We have since moved further from the city and are settling into the quieter, small town living that North GA offers, and I am so excited to serve this community as a member of the GEDS team. In my free time I still enjoy all things sports as well as the comfort of a good book, but nothing beats traveling to new places with my wife! We are expecting our first baby in 2025 and cannot wait to include her in all of our adventures in the future.
