Katie is a Georgia native. At 6 ft tall, she naturally enjoys competitive sports like basketball and volleyball. Her love of teamwork, fast paced environments, and unpredictable circumstances has translated well to Emergency Medicine. Prior to completing graduate school, she worked as a nurse in the Emergency Department. She has been married to her husband for six years. They have a rescue dog named Ellie. She also enjoys spending time with family, reading, and paddle boarding.
